The Warninglid Residents'
Society was formed in 1959 to represent the interests of the
village. Membership is open to all residents of the village. The
minimum subscription is £1 but any sum above this is gratefully

10 Newsletters are issued
throughout the year and distributed to members. Any items for
inclusion should be sent to the Secretary.

Diamond Jubilee Party - Saturday 2nd June 2012
The Committee has started work on this major event and is looking
for help, ideas and volunteers to organise things like races,
raffles, Tombola, Tug-of-war, commemorative mugs etc. Can anyone
offer pony rides for instance? As with the 2002 event, numbers will
have to be limited to 499 due to council and insurance restrictions
- We don't want to turn people away at the last minute. So if your
wider families want to come and enjoy a fantastic day it's not too
early to let us know how many tickets you will want. There will be a
public meeting soon to expand ideas.
Can you help in any way? We need volunteers for the Jubilee
committee as well as people who are happy to set up and run a stall
or run an event (eg tug-of-war, treasure hunt etc) not to mention
all the usual help needed setting up on the day itself. Also if you
know someone who would be able to donate a significant prize or
prizes for the grand raffle, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Next Meeting
The next meeting is the Annual General Meeting which will be held in the Seaforth Hall on Friday 9th March 2012 commencing at 2000.
